Healthy Minds, Healthy Heroes: Our Big Give SA Mental Health Initiative

The American GI Forum National Veterans Outreach Program (NVOP) serves more than 1,000 veterans and families per year, many of whom are experiencing post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, or other behavioral health conditions. We are often the first stop where these individuals seek stable housing, meaningful employment, and other supportive services. While we have been able to successfully meet the housing and job needs of our clients for more than 46 years, we continue to see a substantial unmet need for mental health services amongst both our veteran and non-veteran client populations.

In an effort to address the needs of our veteran clients and their families, our goal is to raise $5,000 on March 28 to provide mental health care kits consisting of items such as journals, stuffed animals, blankets, and other mental health support materials. When you give $10 on 3/28/19, you will help our team provide these essential resources for veterans, their spouses, and children who are going through intensive mental health counseling. Healthy minds make healthy heroes – will you help veterans and their families lead healthy & fulfilling lives by giving $10 to American GI Forum on March 28?
