American GI Forum National Veterans Outreach Program and Lyft Partner Together to Support Veterans

San Antonio, Texas – The American GI Forum National Veterans Outreach Program (NVOP) and ridesharing company Lyft are coming together to raise funds in support of veterans and their families. Under the partnership, new Lyft users will be equipped with a unique referral code for NVOP that they can share with their networks and use to mobilize supporters. The referral code -- – will provide new users with $10 in Lyft credits, and $5 will be donated back to NVOP in support of its veteran programs. In addition to this option, supporters interested in becoming drivers with Lyft can sign up to drive at New drivers will receive $100 by completing 20 rides in their first 30 days, and $100 will be donated back to NVOP.

“Coming together with Lyft has given us a creative way to support the veterans we serve at NVOP. This partnership not only allows us to raise funds for our housing and employment programs, but it provides us the opportunity to thank our supporters by giving them access to special discounts and benefits when they use the Lyft platform. I am honored that Lyft is supporting our nation’s heroes while providing safe and affordable transportation options for our supporters,” said Carlos Martinez, NVOP President and CEO.
